Dr. Uki Maroshek-Klarman is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Adam Institute for Democracy and Peace, an educational NGO promoting democracy, mutual respect, tolerance, and coexistence. A pioneer in democracy and peace education for over 40 years, she develops innovative programs for diverse communities, reaching thousands in Israel and worldwide. She created the award-winning “Betzavta – Adam Institute’s Facilitation Method”, an experiential approach that transforms external conflicts into internal dilemmas, enabling participants to reflect, recognize different perspectives, and seek creative solutions based on democratic principles and mutual respect. She holds a PhD in Political Philosophy from Tel Aviv University and an honorary doctorate from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
