Orly is the executive director of the Israel Religious Action Center, the legal and public advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel, where she has been working since 2004, leading struggles against religious extremism, exclusion of women and racism. Orly has led to significant legal achievements such as abolishing gender segregation on public buses, breaking the Orthodox monopoly regarding the funding of salaries of Rabbis, disqualifying racist candidates from running to the Knesset and recognizing the rights of LGBTQ couples to adopt children in Israel. Orly holds an LL.B. from Tel Aviv University and an LL.M. from Columbia University.
