Sharone Lifschitz is a British-Israeli filmmaker and academic, born in Kibbutz Nir Oz, where a quarter of the community was murdered or taken hostage on October 7, including her parents—both lifelong peace activists. Her mother, Yocheved, was released after 17 days; her father died in captivity, his remains returned after 503 days. Sharone has campaigned relentlessly for the release of all hostages and a diplomatic resolution to conflict, meeting world leaders and engaging global media. She continues to advocate for the hostages and promote mutual trauma recognition and shared humanity as paths to a sustainable future.
