Gilead Sher is a former Israeli senior peace negotiator and Chief of Staff to PM Barak. Formerly a peace negotiator under PM Rabin, he is a Rice University’s Baker Institute fellow and a former senior fellow at Tel Aviv's INSS. Sher was a visiting professor at Georgetown University, and a lecturer on law at Harvard Law School.

Sher chaired the Board of Sapir Academic College in the Gaza envelope (2013-2025).

In 2023, he co-founded the Resistance Headquarters for the pro-democracy struggle. He is a practicing lawyer and a reserve IDF officer (Col.).

Sher authored three books, co-edited two, contributed numerous chapters in edited volumes and published in Israeli and international media. He is a co-founder of the Israeli NGO Blue White Future.
