Simon Chinn is a multi-award winning documentary producer whose films and series have launched at the most prestigious international film festivals and been screened in cinemas, on television and on streaming platforms around the world.  His first feature documentary, Man on Wire, won over 40 international awards including the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature and the BAFTA for Outstanding British Film.  He also produced Searching for Sugar Man, which opened the Sundance Film Festival in 2012 and went on to win the BAFTA and the Academy Award. In 2014, he co-founded the production company, Lightbox, which has offices in London and Los Angeles and was recognised in Realscreen’s Global 100 in 2024 as one of the world’s top 10 documentary production companies.
