Rawyah Handaqlu is a lawyer, social entrepreneur, and the founder and Executive Director of Eilaf – The Center for Advancing Security in Arab Society. She previously led the Emergency Headquarters for Combating Crime and Violence under the National Committee of Heads of Arab Local Authorities.
She holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and Public Policy and has extensive experience in public policy, local government, civil society, and leading cross-sector initiatives in Israel. She is also a lecturer and publishes opinion articles on public policy, personal security, Arab society, and Israeli society.
She is a recipient of the Peres Center for Peace "Knight" Award, was selected to TheMarker's 40 Under 40, and received the Rising Star for Human Rights Award from the New Israel Fund UK.
