Since 2015, Galen has served as Strategic Advisor to the Bertram and Barbara Cohn Family Philanthropies in Israel. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. He served as the long-time Senior Minister of All Souls NYC, a Unitarian Universalist congregation in Manhattan. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary (MDiv) and the University of Chicago (PhD), he has written several books and numerous columns focusing on spirituality, religion, and public policy/foreign policy, among other topics.
